Battlefords Interval House provides temporary shelter, support, safety planning, transportation, referrals to community services and educational resources to enable women and their children to overcome intimate partner violence and return to independent living.
The shelter is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Battlefords Interval House provides information to the public on the issue of intimate partner violence. Presentations and pamphlets have been provided to groups such as: Mosquito First Nation, Living Sky School Division, Battlefords Union Hospital, Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs (BATC), physician offices and medical clinics, etc.
We also participate in community-based awareness activities such as annual recognition of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on December 6th.
