Battlefords Interval House Society Inc. is a community-based non-profit, registered charity which provides 24‐hour safe temporary shelter and support for women and their children who are leaving circumstances of intimate partner violence and abuse. We are a 15 bed shelter with 6 separate rooms.
We have been effectively serving the Battlefords and surrounding communities since 1980. Since then, we have evolved significantly, providing more than just a women’s shelter. Today we offer support, resources and referral services centered on building healthier relationships to promote safety in the family and community.
The shelter operates like a house – everyone assists in preparation of meals and in keeping the house clean and safe for all. Each woman, or a woman and her children, has their own bedroom. The kitchen, living room, bathrooms and play area are common areas for everyone to share.
Battlefords Interval House is funded by the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General; Community Safety and Well-Being

You choose your commitment level. It may be minimal with attendance at meetings or you can choose to get more involved with sub-committees and events. Email director@battlefordsintervalhouse.ca for more information.
